Responsibilities
- Aids in monitoring accounts receivable aging reports.
- Identifies accounts requiring collection efforts and initiates collection actions.
- Verifies and inputs census-related information and ancillary charges into the computerized accounting system.
- Performs general office functions such as filing, preparing and mailing resident billing statements, and making copies.
- Documents all collection-related conversations and payments in the collection module.
- Provides assistance to Presbyterian Senior Living staff with collection-related tasks.
- Prepares and submits private pay and third-party claims.
- Follows up on unpaid claims or balances.
- Assists with adjusting, correcting, and writing off accounts.
- Assists with or manages the completion of Medical Assistance (MA) applications, including initial applications, documentation gathering, renewals, and appeals.
- Ensures proper documentation is entered into relevant areas.
- Assists with or manages the completion of Subsidized Care applications.
- Supports the Business Office Coordinator on projects or tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Prior experience performing general office tasks is preferred.
- Able to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Preferred to have proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
