Job Overview

The position involves providing both physical and emotional care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting residents through various activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as per the service plan, including dressing, grooming, oral care, bathing, toileting, nail care, and foot care.
- Ambulate and transfer residents safely using transfer belts and assistive devices, ensuring proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Support residents with hearing aids and glasses, and encourage participation in activities.
- Provide residents with emotional support and engage them in activities.
- Document daily tasks and observations accurately, including service schedules, flow sheets, and communication logs.
- Participate in in-service training as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
- Teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Decisiveness and ability to act in the resident's best interest.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Basic reading, writing, spelling, and math skills.
- Fluency in English.

Working Hours
The Resident Assistant position requires working every other weekend and some holidays. Flexible full-time and part-time shifts are available.
