Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
  • Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
  • Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
  • Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.

Requirements

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
  • A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a state-required background study.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

Skills

  • Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Pay

$18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location. This position also includes a $500 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

Part Time | 16 hours/pay period | 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. | Every other weekend and holiday.
