Pay
Range: $19 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.
About the Role
As a Resident Assistant at Vivie, you'll be at the heart of our community, providing hands-on support to residents while fostering meaningful connections. You'll assist with daily activities, ensure a safe and comfortable environment, encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities, maintain a clean and comfortable environment, prepare meals, monitor residents' health and well-being, and welcome new residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
- Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Aid in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
- Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
- Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
Requirements
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
- A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living).
- Ability to pass a state-required background study.
- Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
Qualifications
This Job Also Requires:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
