As a Resident Assistant, You Will

  • Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility
  • Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences
  • Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life
  • Aid in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces
  • Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff
  • Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care

Additional Requirements

  • Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification (preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living)
  • Ability to pass a state-required background study
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors
