About the Role

The primary goal of the Resident Assistant position is to ensure conscientious and hospitable service to guests, providing an enjoyable experience while they are at the facility for training. This position is responsible for meeting the needs of clients receiving services by delivering diligent, high-quality customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational aspects of a front desk process to ensure prompt response when clients require ordinary or emergency assistance.
  • Handle safety and emergency management, taking appropriate action to protect the health, safety, and rights of clients, and referring non-emergent issues as needed.
  • Provide for ordinary client needs, including replacing lost items, personal shopping, running errands, assisting with correspondence, and receiving or mailing items.
  • Assist with local reservations and travel arrangements, including providing directions and programming GPS units with appropriate guidance to local destinations.
  • Answer client calls professionally and source solutions to appropriate responsible parties.
  • Assist with minor dog-related issues in class.
  • Help new clients orient to the Residence and campus area.
  • Conduct various administrative tasks to support department operations as directed, including special projects using desktop tools such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Assist the Food Services Department on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
