Resident Assistant/Caregiver | $500 Sign on Bonus!!

About the role

We are seeking Resident Assistants who are passionate about providing exceptional care to seniors and creating a warm, homelike environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

• Aid residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining.
• Serve meals in the dining room or residents’ apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
• Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
• Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
