Job Overview

We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the physical and emotional well-being of senior residents at our assisted living facility in Edina, MN. No CNA certification is required unless the applicant is under 18 years old.

About the Role

This patient support position involves:

  • 67 hours per two weeks
  • Day shift
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Aurora on France is an innovative senior living community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.
  • The community is located near Hwy. 62 and France Ave., and is on a bus line.
  • Aurora offers a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care.

Responsibilities

Assists residents with personal cares including:

  • bathing
  • shaving
  • dressing
  • hair care
  • feeding
  • toileting
  • transfers/lifts

Under the direction of a Nurse, provides health-related services such as:

  • passing medication
  • glucose monitoring
  • temperatures
  • blood pressure
  • pulse

May also perform duties that include:

  • laundry
  • cleaning
  • meal service
  • assisting with activities

Requirements

Observes residents and reports their status to appropriate staff.

Assists with onboarding of new staff.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers while working in a team setting.

Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population.

CNA certification if under 18 years old.

Skills

High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course.

Pay

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.

Schedule

67 hours per two weeks, day shift, every other weekend and holiday rotation.
