About the role

This is a non-merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. This position starts at $12.76 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Help residents by changing sheets, making bed, refill water pitchers, refill treatment bucket, put away clean laundry.
• Assisting with passing meal trays and assisting during meal time.
• Provides support and physical assistance to residents by participating/initiating additional activities such as playing cards, table games, reading, crafts, writing letters for residents and taking residents for walks or outside for fresh air by wheelchair.
• Escorts or participates with resident activities, writing letters for residents, taking residents for walks along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

All applicants are subject to a Criminal Background Check Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Check.

Benefits

The position offers a starting hourly wage of $12.76 and flexible hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., working 30 hours in a pay period and every other weekend.
