About the role
The Iowa Veterans Home is seeking part-time Resident Aides to assist residents on the unit.
Responsibilities
- Changing sheets and making beds
- Refilling water pitchers and treatment buckets
- Packing away clean laundry
- Passing meal trays and assisting during meal times
- Engaging in activities like playing cards, table games, reading, crafts, writing letters, and taking residents for walks or outside for fresh air
- Escorting or participating in resident activities
Requirements
Scheduled hours are 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., working at least 40 hours in a pay period and every other weekend.
