Resident Advisor (200509)

Job Description

• Mets with assigned students at least bi-weekly.
• Manages student incidents to protect all students from harm.
• Notes individual meetings with students addressing issues and expressing plans to resolve problems.
• Notifies other staff to coordinate services via memo, phone, or personal conversation.
• Conducts dormitory inspections yielding acceptable ratings.
• Participates in events, demonstrating professional behaviors and modeling employment skills.
• Completes assignments within time frames and rarely requires correction.
• Presents and maintains up-to-date student folders ensuring success in achieving long and short-term goals.
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of student data.
• Documents medical and AWOL removal logs following established procedures.
• Makes regular entries in dorm logs detailing conditions during rounds.
• Accurately submits all accountability documents and reports within established time frames.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
