Residency Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the recruitment, orientation, curriculum development, and evaluation of all program components, including didactic education, case presentations, and resident assessment.
  • Facilitate high-quality teaching and learning through didactic sessions, case facilitation, feedback, coaching, and support for both residents and preceptors.
  • Review and respond to resident reflective journals on a rotating basis in collaboration with other program leaders.
  • Promote the APP Residency Program’s model, reputation, and impact through writing, research, presentations, and policy-related activities as assigned by HealthRIGHT 360, including engagement with current and potential funders.
  • Distribute, collect, analyze, and synthesize resident, rotation, and faculty evaluations, providing actionable feedback for residents and preceptors and ensuring appropriate follow-up and reporting.
  • Utilize evaluation data to support ongoing enhancement and continuous improvement of the APP Residency Program.
  • Congnorate and oversee the general orientation of new residents, including department, clinical areas, and institutional onboarding.
  • Coordinate all specialty rotations in collaboration with specialty providers.
  • Develop and manage the APP Residency Program clinical schedule in partnership with the Clinic Leadership and preceptors.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Chief Healthcare Officer (CHO), Medical Directors, Operations Director, and other organizational leaders to define, implement, and evaluate policies related to the APP Residency Program.
  • Champion and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives for both the APP Residency Program and the clinic.
  • Provide direct supervision of APP residents and residency staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, ongoing supervision, and, when necessary, termination.
  • Participate in budget process including maximizing visit targets, creating and adjusting program budget.

Clinical Care Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with professional licensure, credentialing, and privileging.
  • Complete timely, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Demonstrate competency in all essential procedures and clinical skills within the scope of practice.
  • Order, prescribe, recommend, and interpret diagnostic tests, treatments, and therapies as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic treatments within scope of practice.
  • Provide expert consultation within the practice and across the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Facilitate and promote evidence-based practice to support patients in achieving individualized health goals.
  • In the event a resident leaves the APP Residency Program prior to completing the two-year commitment, assume additional patient care responsibilities to offset reduced clinical capacity.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with HealthRIGHT 360 policies, procedures, and clinical standards to ensure high-quality care and adherence to HRSA, managed care, and other applicable standards.
  • Actively participate in grant writing and reporting activities to support program sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the philanthropy and development team to share program outcomes and successes.
  • Complete all required Relias and other mandatory trainings on schedule.
