About the role

The Residence Manager, Floating plays a critical role in providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), ensuring they receive high-quality care in accordance with established standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to residential staff as assigned.
  • Provide on-going training, supervision, support and mentoring to assigned staff.
  • Ensure that employees participate in required training sessions.
  • Complete staffing schedules, ensuring that staffing patterns and minimums are maintained, and shift and staff assignments are posted for each shift.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with staff to provide coaching with an emphasis on the DSP Core Competencies.
  • Complete performance reviews for assigned staff.
  • Complete IPP reports and participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and/or lifeplan development meetings.
  • Ensure that treatment plans are current and required documentation is completed contemporaneously.
  • Develop and implement recreation and activities schedules that meet the residents’ interests.
  • Maintain positive rapport and timely communication with residents, their families, day programs, and assigned staff.
  • Provide transportation coverage for residents as needed using an agency vehicle.
  • Provide coverage on the floor as needed.
  • Adhere to the agency’s incident management procedures.
  • Ensure the physical plant is free of risk, reporting issues to Maintenance as appropriate, and ensure timely follow up.
  • Manage residence petty cash funds.
  • Submit purchase orders for residents and/or residence needs.
  • Food purchasing, handling, and storage.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained and proficient on electronic systems such as FIIX, ADP, Precision Care, eRequester and Relias.
  • Participate in the agency’s internal audit process.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions, as directed.
  • Follow federal, state, and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy, and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 2 years working with the I/DD population.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills required.
  • Maintain AMAP certification and ability to drive agency vehicles.

Physical Requirements

This position is a non-sedentary role that requires frequent standing and walking. Able to lift 50 or more pounds and ability to turn, lift, and assist people receiving services with movement. This position operates in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Some filing is required requiring the ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Pay

$68,000-$70,000 annually
