Reservoir Engineer

About the role

WEC Energy Group is seeking a Reservoir Engineer in their Columbus, Michigan location. This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineer, Engineer, and Senior Engineer) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity and compliance of the BlueWater Gas Storage facility
• Engineering design and support of well drilling and well abandonment operations
• Engineering support for projects and maintenance activities
• Absorb and track storage inventories
• Monitor and track the integrity of wells and reservoirs (API 1171)
• Monitor and oversee workovers and well logging
• Compile and interpret data, maintain records
• Work closely with management to maintain compliance regarding PHMSA Regulations (Storage Integrity & CFR part 192) as well as Environmental and Safety
• Provide support for audits and inspections

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Geological, Chemical, Mechanical)
• 2+ years of experience in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• 2+ years of underground gas storage experience
