Reservations Coordinator

About the role

A Reservations Coordinator is responsible for reservations duties, providing guest with hotel facility information and answering questions relating to the hotel and local area. Responsibilities include handling guest room reservation requests, blocking rooms, entering group rooming lists, posting prepayments, billing no-show reservations, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest room reservation requests for the hotel
• Provide guest with hotel facility information and answer questions relating to the hotel and local area
• Block rooms, enter group rooming lists, post prepayments, bill no-show reservations, and other duties as assigned
• Answer all incoming calls
• Handle guest mail and faxes
• Take messages for guests
• React quickly to guest service opportunities and recovery, logging and notifying proper areas where appropriate
• Take ownership of recovery process with support of leadership team

Requirements

• Knowledge of Hyatt, Forbes 5 Star and AAA 5 Diamond Luxury Standards and Service Expectations
• Professional, personalized and engaging luxury service required
• React quickly to guest service opportunities and recovery, logging and notifying proper areas where appropriate
• Take ownership of recovery process with support of leadership team
• Good typing skills, a pleasant attitude and excellent phone demeanor
• Experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Reserve, HotSOS, Zingle, Open Table, Infrasys or Micros, Book4Time, Alice (Go Concierge)

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer interactions within Hotels and/or Food & Beverage
• Excellent mathematical, written, spoken, technical and computer skills
• Desire for building a career in hospitality preferred
