Researcher Series - Open Positions in Physiology and Biophysics (2026-2027)
Researcher Series positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Applications are sought from candidates with a PhD or MD degree, a strong laboratory research background, publications, and specialized training in biomedical, biological sciences, or related fields. This is an ongoing recruitment with positions dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year, with renewal contingent on availability of support and job performance.
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $96,700 - $257,100. The hourly rate is $46.32 - $123.14. The posted UC salary scale sets the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment.
Qualifications
- PhD or MD degree.
- Strong laboratory research background.
- Publications in relevant fields.
- Specialized training in biomedical sciences, biological sciences, or related fields.
