Researcher or Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering - CEARL

About the role
The Computational Electromagnetics and Antennas Research Lab (CEARL) of the Department of Electrical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly qualified individual for a non-tenure-line position at the rank of Researcher or Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating projects and managing the production lab within CEARL.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects and manage the production lab.
- Assist in proposal writing.
- Prepare project reports.
- Oversee and manage projects.
- Develop and implement project timelines, as well as ensure deliverables, deadlines, goals, and objectives of projects are met.
- Assist the mechanical development of cutting-edge research programs, including antenna design and mechanical simulation.
- Participate in funded projects that develop advanced and transformative technologies in electromagnetics.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent, or be an active candidate for a terminal degree in a related field by the appointment start date.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in the creation and critical review of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and tolerance analysis.
- Industrial experience is preferred.
