About the Role
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applications for one full-time Research Professor (non-tenure track) for a 9-month appointment to work in the area of bioinorganic chemistry, with a specific focus on radical SAM enzymes, radical SAM mechanisms, and hydrogenases and their maturation. This position has an anticipated start date of Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the PI as well as other faculty at TAMU and other institutions to develop and advance scientific objectives
- Engage in research development, including preparation of proposals for research funding
- Disseminate research through written and oral presentations
- Collaborate on the acquisition of funding to support research
- Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral student fellows, visiting scholars and research staff
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry
- 20 years of research experience
