About the role
The Principal contributes to the neurogenetics research lab within the Department of Human Genetics at the Division of Biological Sciences. The lab focuses on studying brain development and neurological disorders through various molecular, cellular, developmental, and computational analyses.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the PI to design and perform research projects.
- Conduct DNA, RNA, and protein-related molecular cloning and expression studies.
- Manage and maintain mouse husbandry and cell culture techniques.
- Support research activities by assisting with logistical needs and providing routine laboratory duties.
- Collect and interpret data, and present findings collaboratively with team members.
- Assist with data entry and report generation.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum work experience includes knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Education
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology is preferred.
