Job Summary

Provide technical support for the Krantz Family Center for Cancer Research and manage their Flow Cytometry equipment including analyzers and sophisticated cell sorters.

Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Perform analytical cytometry and cell sorting using multiple platforms.

Oversee laboratory activities including logistics and operational ordering and procedural safety.

Provide training for new team members.

Provide data analysis and data interpretation.

Execute experimental procedures quickly and accurately.

Document instrument usage and maintenance history.

Qualifications

  • Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biology or Physical Science, or a related field and three (3) years of work experience in the job offered or related field of flow cytometry and cell sorting laboratory exposure.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of laboratory experience with the following:
    • Exposure to flow cytometry and cell sorting using multiple platforms (BD Symphony A1 analyzer, Sony cell sorter, and Cytek Aurora analyzer, BDFACS Aria, BD Symphony, and BDFACS Fusion sorters), and analysis software (BD FACS Diva and FloJo).
    • Laboratory exposure to immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, and/or microbiology.

Applicants must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $60,080.00 - $89,648.00/year. 40 hours/wk full-time.
