About the role
As a member of the WCAS Physics & Astronomy department, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and education in physics and astronomy. You will work closely with faculty and students to advance our understanding of the universe.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in theoretical or experimental physics/astronomy
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Participate in departmental and university committees
- Collaborate with other researchers both within and outside of Northwestern
Requirements
- PhD in Physics or Astronomy
- Strong research record
- Excellent teaching skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Qualifications
- Passion for teaching and mentoring
- Interest in interdisciplinary research
- Experience with grant writing

- Advanced knowledge of physics/astronomy
- Effective communication skills
