About the role

As a member of the WCAS Physics & Astronomy department, you will contribute to cutting-edge research and education in physics and astronomy. You will work closely with faculty and students to advance our understanding of the universe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in theoretical or experimental physics/astronomy
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
• Participate in departmental and university committees
• Collaborate with other researchers both within and outside of Northwestern

Requirements

• PhD in Physics or Astronomy
• Strong research record
• Excellent teaching skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Passion for teaching and mentoring
• Interest in interdisciplinary research
• Experience with grant writing

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of physics/astronomy
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
