Research Technician III/IV - Zhao Lab (Full or Part-Time)

Position Overview

The laboratory of Dr. Meng Zhao in the Arthritis & Clinical Immunology Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician at the III or IV level to support projects investigating how immune cell metabolic stress drives tissue inflammation and cancer development.

Responsibilities

• Mouse tissue collection and necropsy
• Tissue embedding, sectioning, and histologic staining
• Immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry workflows
• Microscopy imaging and image organization
• Aid in experimental planning and laboratory organization
• Coordination of tissue processing and sample tracking across projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the biological sciences or relevant field and five (5) years of relevant laboratory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extensive experience with histology and mouse tissue processing
• Familiarity with microscopy and fluorescence imaging
• Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
