About the role
Position functions to provide research data from routine experiments performed in the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Follow instructions and work independently in the completion of assigned tasks.
- Conduct quantifiable, meaningful research with technical competence.
- Interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds at all levels, both internal and external to the organization.
- Work collaboratively as a positive, contributing member of a team.
Requirements
- Ability to complete and pass the required occupational health screening referenced in the University’s Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program annually (for incumbents with animal or animal tissue contact/exposure).
- Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and occupational health screening as a condition of employment. A drug screening may also be required (for incumbents with animal or animal tissue contact/exposure).
Qualifications
Required
- B.S. Degree
- One year of experience
Preferred
- MS Degree
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience in tissue culture, animal studies, molecular signaling, and/or transgenic mouse models
- High proficiency in data analysis and writing manuscripts for publication
