Research Technician II, Medicine

About the role

The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology Dr. Ghafoor's Laboratory is seeking a skilled Research Technician II for 1 year. The successful candidate will support cutting-edge translational and basic science research focused on thoracic malignancies. They will work closely with laboratory members to perform experiments investigating novel targeted therapies, immunotherapies, gene delivery platforms in vitro and mice studies.

Responsibilities

• Support cutting-edge translational and basic science research focused on thoracic malignancies
• Perform experiments investigating novel targeted therapies, immunotherapies, gene delivery platforms in vitro and mice studies
• Work closely with laboratory members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience in laboratory techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in careers in medicine, biomedical research, or graduate education
