Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform Experiments
- Set up research experiments and tests according to defined protocols.
- Seek guidance from the Principal Investigator and other lab members as needed.
- Become familiar with study, applicable background research, laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with lab procedures, protocols, and quality control.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot scientific apparatuses, equipment and instruments specific to assignment.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain lab equipment.
Data Collection And Analysis
- Assist with research sample collection and specimen preparation.
- Maintain logs, records, notes, data, and spreadsheets to document the results of experiments.
- Facilitate data analysis.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to research projects (ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, scanning, photocopying, labeling, filing, record keeping, etc.).
- Participate in lab meetings and other scientific discussions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
