Research Technician I
About the role
The Paz Lab seeks a Research Technician to join our team studying medically relevant transport proteins. We are looking for a motivated applicant who focuses on the smallest details while still keeping the big picture in mind.
Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental research on medically relevant membrane transport proteins
- Prepare and maintain bacterial cultures for protein expression
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and proper handling of biological materials
- Collaborate with team members while maintaining attention to detail and contributing to overall research goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field
- Experience with bacterial and cell culture techniques
- Strong background in protein purification and biochemical characterization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
