Research Technician I

About the role

The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a part-time temporary Research Technician I to support a data analysis project focusing on air pollution prediction using machine learning and satellite data.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and operate a numerical modeling system using machine learning and AI.
• Provide logistical support with data storage in the laboratory.
• Aid senior staff members in conducting data analysis and modeling procedures.
• Aid undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
• Participate in training and professional development sessions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of related experience.
• A well-qualified candidate may also possess:
• A Master's Degree in Data Sciences.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs.
