About the role
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a part-time temporary Research Technician I to support a data analysis project focusing on air pollution prediction using machine learning and satellite data.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and operate a numerical modeling system using machine learning and AI.
- Provide logistical support with data storage in the laboratory.
- Aid senior staff members in conducting data analysis and modeling procedures.
- Aid undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
- Participate in training and professional development sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of related experience.
- A well-qualified candidate may also possess:
- A Master's Degree in Data Sciences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs.
