About the role

The Research Technician will provide technical and operational support for a laboratory research program focused on experimental studies using mouse models. The role involves performing routine molecular and laboratory assays under established protocols and close scientific supervision, contributing to animal-based research including behavioral assays and transgenic mouse colony maintenance, and supporting experimental characterization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine molecular and laboratory assays under established protocols and close scientific supervision.
• Contributes to animal-based research including behavioral assays and transgenic mouse colony maintenance.
• Supports experimental characterization efforts.
• Accurately documents experimental procedures and results.
• Maintains laboratory supply inventory and prepares standard reagents.
• Works in a structured research environment with defined procedures, requiring reliability and strong organizational skills.
• Guides on techniques and tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required with 1-3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

Experience in cellular/molecular experimental techniques is ideal but not required.

Skills

Proactive, organized, and helpful presence in a newly established group.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Pay

Minimum $40,000.00

Maximum $44,000.00
