Research Support

This clinical research coordinator will work collaboratively with a multi-site research team on the implementation of a process intervention to address nurse burnout funded by a 5-year grant from the National Institute of Nursing Research.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cook up the logistics of intervention delivery and data collection for the RESTORE intervention at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center.
• Work collaboratively with team members at the hospital site, and research team members.
• Attend and support intervention delivery sessions.
• Assist with data collection activities, including recruitment.
• This includes a repeated measure survey and interviews.
• For the survey, this will include working with research team, and the site (assisting with survey recruitment, keep track of survey response rates and rewards, and coordinate providing individual survey data back to participants to support retention in the study).
• For interviews, this will include assistance with recruitment and scheduling.
• This includes assisting with data management for the data collected.
• Afford administrative tasks like developing and maintaining operating procedures, grant reporting and compliance materials, and participating in team meetings.
• Mentors, trains and shares knowledge with staff and students.
• Works through the reliance process for the Institutional Review Board and department for approval with oversight from supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Two (2) years of relevant work experience with patient interaction in a clinical setting and /or in a clinical research study.
• Program coordination for research studies experience.
• Project management and event logistics skills.
• Experience with IRB, grant reporting, and Redcap surveys.
• Good communication and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with intervention studies.
• Recruiting nurses or other healthcare professionals for studies.
• Degree in project management.
