Duties & Essential Job Functions

  • Counsults with research participants and community partners.
  • Communicates with research participants and community partners.
  • Supports recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts.
  • Attends and documents local needs assessments with local first responders and providers.
  • Participates in community listening sessions.
  • Engages with local stakeholders and partner organizations.
  • Manages and maintains research data.
  • Enters and verifies data in research databases.
  • Scores instruments and interview responses.
  • Maintains research logs and documentation.
  • Prepares materials for interviews, meetings, and community events.
  • Assists with coordination of local research activities.
  • Provides administrative support related to study operations.
  • Maintains consistent communication with TCU IBR research staff.
  • Coordinates with local agencies and partners.
  • Ensures adherence to study protocols and participant confidentiality requirements.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 plus year of experience with customers, patients, or clients.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
  • Ability to use strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organization and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently in community settings.
  • Ability to follow structured research protocols and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-site research team.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
  • Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
  • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, lifting/moving items up to 10 lbs. and times of prolonged sitting.

Work Environment

  • Combination of field-based (community) and remote/office work.
  • Regular travel within the local community required.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends for community events.
