Duties & Essential Job Functions

  • Supports research staff with data collection efforts for grant projects funded through various funding sources.
  • Collaborate with participating facilities and staff in order to communicate with individuals eligible for study participation.
  • Facilitate informed consent meetings and complete baseline assessments with participants.
  • Work with Project Coordinator to ensure all collected data is securely and promptly delivered to the Institute of Behavioral Research (IBR).
  • Attend intervention groups at the participating facility to ensure proper administration, completion, collection, and return of all pre/post assessments and fidelity forms, and any relevant study documentation to IBR.
  • Possible communication with participants to complete follow-up assessments, as needed.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 plus year of experience with customers, patients, or clients.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain strong organizational systems to manage multiple tasks and data requirements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, respond appropriately to sensitive situations to encourage participant engagement and trust.
  • Ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Capacity to listen actively and adapt communication style to the needs of individuals.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
  • Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
  • Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, lifting/moving items up to 10 lbs. and times of prolonged sitting.
