Research Study Technician, School of Medicine, Pulmonary Center
About the role
The Boston University Pulmonary Center, Bosmann Lab is recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician for projects on the molecular immune response to infections. Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), pneumonia and sepsis are life‑threatening complications of microbial infections with profound disturbances of the immune system. In the current absence of definitive treatment options, ARDS and sepsis represent an enormous problem for health systems worldwide. The laboratory is dedicated to obtaining a better mechanistic understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of bacterial infections, including the evaluation of new therapeutic targets. The lab has recently published in Nature Communications (2020 Aug 12;11(1):4035) and is especially interested in novel genes for which several genetically engineered mouse strains were generated by CRISPR‑Cas9.
