About the role
The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a Research and Statistics Data Analyst in Franklin County. This position supports the Office of Information & Technology Services, Division of Research and Statistics.
Responsibilities
- Create statistical reports and data compilations using Tableau, SQL, and other software as needed.
- Present data effectively in tables and visualizations.
- Write clear and informative documentation of reports and compilations.
- Collaborate with the unit’s staff to document, review, and enhance tools, definitions, and procedures.
- Aid in request tracking, updates, and completion using the reporting tool of choice.
- Document and maintain all standard operating procedures.
- Comply with established data standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate development/completion of statistical requests.
- Ensure skills are maintained through training opportunities as available/assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: 4 Year College Degree in statistics, public administration, business, social science, or related field.
- Experience: 3 Years of data analysis, statistics, and/or research experience.
- Special requirements: No specific experience or software proficiency is required, but a good candidate will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of relational data, data visualization, statistical analysis, and coding.
- Skills: Advanced problem-solving, logic, and conflict resolution skills; ability to absorb new ideas and concepts and to master new software or programming environments quickly; excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills appropriate for communication with elected officials; excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching/motivational skills, enthusiasm, and positive attitude; advanced time management skills.
