About the role
This position serves as a Without Compensation Research Data Scientist within the Office of Research and Development (ORD). The VA Research Program strives to promote Veteran-centered care to improve patient experiences and outcomes across VA healthcare and community settings, and to advance value-driven care by providing Veterans the highest quality care at the lowest financial burden.
Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
- Affiliated with data management and statistical analysis for research projects.
- Served as a coordinator for multi-site research studies by facilitating effective collaboration across participating locations.
- Prepared, cleaned, and validated research datasets.
- Conducted exploratory data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and data issues.
- Contributed to the interpretation of statistical findings and assisted in generating analytic outputs for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and scientific presentations.
