About the role
The Research Services Lead – Operations is an integral part of Latham & Watkins’ Technology & Information Services team. This role supports the development and maintenance of the department’s discovery platform, knowledge base, and collaboration workspaces, while managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the firm-wide catalogue and discovery platforms, including the eLibrary.
Responsibilities
- Supports systems configuration, platform upgrades, and maintenance
- Designs and manages electronic and print content platforms to ensure resources are easily accessible, relevant, and understandable by end users
- Oversees the department’s knowledge base and collaborates with the research team to develop and audit content
- Manages department’s collaboration workspaces, such as Microsoft Teams, iManage, and SharePoint
- Supports services including password management, research platform authentication, and migrations
- Promotes effective work practices by working collaboratively as a team member and demonstrating respect for coworkers
- Protects and maintains any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information retained by Latham & Watkins
Qualifications
- Possess knowledge of electronic and print content administration systems and technologies, such as EOS
- Exhibit knowledge of bibliographic utilities and current cataloging standards
- Show experience with internet services and user authentication protocols, including IP authentication and single sign-on
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- A master’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.), preferably
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably
- A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience
