Position Overview

The Thoracic Oncology Research Collaborative Hub (TORCH) is seeking a Research Technician 3 in the laboratory of Dr. Carbone. This position supports senior lab members and focuses primarily on animal work.

Training Provided

  • Hands-On Training: Essential molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA/Protein extraction, Western Blotting, PCR genotyping, bacterial cloning, cell culture, and mouse work.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Training: Required before any work begins, including CBLs or in-person trainings.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a biological, health, or related science field or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

Desired Experience

  • Self-motivated and good time management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word).
  • Previous experience in research or a lab environment preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a biological, health, or related science field or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
