Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods.
  • Manage project timeline and leverage internal resources to push project forward.
  • Generate, analyze, interpret and present data to a broader team.
  • Closely communicate with other teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.

Requirements

  • PhD. degrees in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related fields.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in developing scalable NGS workflow in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
  • Direct experience in designing customized library preps across different high-throughput sequencing platforms (Illumina and ONT).
  • Broad molecular biology and microbiology knowledge with the ability to apply scientific intuition and interpretation to solve problems.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in using and building both standard and customized bioinformatics pipeline.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the common programming languages (Python, R, Java).
  • Extensive experience in analyzing biological datasets and various file formats (FASTQ, BAM, VCF etc.).
  • Experience with the high-throughput NGS library prep workflow for clinical samples in a plus.
  • Experience with cell-free protein expression is a plus.
  • Strong collaborative instinct with good time and resource management skills.
