About the role
We are seeking a founding research scientist to join our team at Flick. This role sits at the intersection of research, engineering, and art.
Responsibilities
- Train and adapt generative image models for cinematic and creative workflows
- Explore controllable image/video generation systems and improve model quality and aesthetics
- Work closely with filmmakers and product teams to bring research into real creative tools
- Strong background in deep learning and generative models
- Experience training or fine-tuning diffusion, transformer, or related generative systems
- Strong visual taste and intuition for cinematic imagery and storytelling
- Strong engineering skills, product intuition, and startup mindset
- Can actually make things work!
- Loves films or is a creator themselves
Requirements
This role requires:
- A strong background in deep learning and generative models

Qualifications
