Research Scientist, electron beam lithography

Responsibilities

  • Learn about integrated circuit manufacturing and electron-beam lithography.
  • Develop electron-beam lithography processes (wafer coat, exposure and development) to support full-wafer, low-volume, wafer fabrication for legacy microcircuits.
  • Sustain, improve, and optimize electron-beam lithography processing to increase throughput for legacy microcircuits.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Integration, Design and Layout) to develop processes and integrate into the current production wafer processing capabilities.
  • Data collection, correlation, interpretation, and presentation of information to management and co-workers.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in chemistry, physics, or electrical engineering or an equivalent field required.
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to government requirements.
  • Experience with electron-beam lithography theory, data perpetration, and process development is required.
  • Past use of JEOL electron beam systems and GenISys Beamer data preparation software is desired.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and document solutions is necessary.
  • Demonstrated analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting is essential.
  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment up to 75% of the workday and perform flexible shift work when required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to describe ongoing work and discuss issues, including creating PowerPoints and presenting analysis.
  • Able to work on-site Monday through Friday, starting at 8:30am, with an 8-hour workday.
