Prelude Therapeutics is an early-stage biotechnology company founded by proven scientists in cancer drug development. The Research Scientist will play a key role in designing and developing a pipeline of novel therapies for cancer patients, with a focus on small molecule drugs, targeted protein degraders, and conjugates including Degrader-Antibody Conjugates (DACs) and Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs). We offer a vibrant, collegial work environment and excellent career growth opportunities at our Wilmington, DE location, ideally situated within 25 minutes of Philadelphia International Airport.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the potency and selectivity of new molecules in various functional and phenotypic cell-based assays.
- Characterize new molecules through mechanism of action studies.
- Develop, validate, and optimize assay systems to support the detection of cellular and tissue pharmacodynamic markers.
- Conduct specific assays related to degraders, DACs, and ADCs, such as antibody internalization, target degradation, and payload release assays.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, analyze and interpret results, present summaries, and generate reports of the studies.
- Contribute to project planning and strategy, ensuring timely progress and troubleshooting of experimental challenges.
