Responsibilities
- Research Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and participate in scientific research projects for the Center for Energy Balance in Cancer Prevention and Survivorship.
- Determine Research Goals: Set research goals and objectives and evaluate outcomes against expectations.
- Develop Techniques: Develop and revise research techniques or approaches to address complex problems.
- Aid Investigators: Assist investigators in developing and refining research ideas related to energy balance, cancer survivorship, cancer prevention, and health disparities.
- Identify Partnerships: Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and scientific partnerships internally and externally.
- Ensure Closure: Ensure successful project planning, implementation, and closure.
- Support Initiatives: Support cancer prevention, control, and health-related projects as assigned by the principal investigator.
- Data Analysis: Independently design and initiate scientific research projects, perform or oversee data management and analysis procedures, analyze existing datasets, and prepare and present research findings.
- Grant Management: Contribute to grant applications related to energy balance research, prepare administrative sections of grant proposals, and support scientific writing, research design, and analysis for grant submissions.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and activities as assigned by the principal investigator.
Qualifications
- Required Education: A Master's Degree in a natural science or related field.
- Prior Experience: Four years of experimental or scientific work or two years of experimental or scientific work with a medical degree.
- Preferred Education: A PhD in a natural science or a Medical Degree.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience with grant writing and implementing studies.
