Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ligand-binding assays (e.g., ELISA, MSD, Gyros) for the quantification of monoclonal antibodies in various biological fluids.
- Perform fit-for-purpose bioanalytical methods according to internal SOPs and global regulatory guidelines, assessing assay performance characteristics such as accuracy, precision, selectivity, sensitivity, and stability.
- Analyze samples from preclinical and clinical studies to provide high-quality data to our project teams.
- Characterize, conjugate, and manage critical reagents (e.g., capture/detection antibodies, standards) to ensure long-term assay consistency and performance.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with assays.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and platforms to improve assay sensitivity, throughput, and robustness.
- Meticulously document all experimental procedures and results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
- Work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional matrix environment, communicating effectively with team members at various levels.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline; ORM.S. with 3+ years of relevant industry experience; OR B.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing, validating, and running ligand-binding assays (LBAs).
- Strong understanding of the principles of pharmacokinetics for biologic drugs.
- Proficiency with common immunoassay platforms, with ELISA experience as a minimum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with advanced immunoassay platforms such as Meso Scale Discovery (MSD), Gyros, or Quanterix.
- Experience with the development and validation of immunogenicity (Anti-Drug Antibody, ADA) assays.
- Familiarity with cell-based neutralizing antibody (NAb) assays.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with relevant software (e.g., SoftMax Pro, Benchling).
