Research Psychologist SME III

Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) – hybrid / telework eligible (routine and situational telework authorized; facility space restrictions may require part-time or full-time telework). Must be able to obtain and maintain a TIER 2 non-critical sensitive clearance. Full-time position.

About the role

Knowesis is seeking a Research Psychologist SME III to serve as a core contributor to the PHCoE Research Execution branch. Depending on the assigned portfolio, this expert designs, executes, and analyzes studies related to evidence synthesis, health services research, or population surveys.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological health military subject matter expertise to inform ongoing research projects, including scientific review and protocol development.
• Conduct standardized literature searches, extract data, and perform quality assessments for evidence synthesis products.
• Provide professional expertise based on the scientific literature to inform research development and evaluation.
• Develop research dissemination products, including study briefs, scientific reports, journal articles, and presentations.
• Support survey administration, statistical analysis, and interpretation of survey data.

Requirements

• Doctorate (PhD) in Psychology.
• At least 8 years of postdoctoral experience in psychological health research.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing military or veteran-focused behavioral health research.
• Strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

Pay

$100,000 – $140,000 per year.
