Research Project Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

• Congduct ruminant livestock research.
• Aid with graduate student projects including:
• Data collection
• Analysis and publication
• Guest lecture in Animal Science courses
• Work independently on animal research projects

Required Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Animal Science or related field.
• Experience working with ruminant livestock.
• Experience with ruminant nutrition laboratory methods.
• Experience with data management and analysis.
• Experience with manuscript preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid background with forage nutrition as it relates to beef production.
• Proven track record in oral and written communication.
• Willingness to assist other graduate students with research projects including laboratory work, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Understanding and experience in low-stress livestock management.
