About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Research Program Manager (Data & Operations) to support a high-impact research organization within a global technology company. This role focuses on bringing operational rigor, analytics, and structure to complex, cross-functional research programs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments, excels at stakeholder management, and uses data, metrics, and dashboards to drive execution, prioritization, and decision-making. You will play a critical role in improving how research programs are planned, tracked, measured, and scaled.
Responsibilities
- Own and run the program operating cadence, including intake, planning support, execution tracking, and stakeholder updates
- Improve operational documentation and processes, including templates, trackers, SOPs, and workflows
- Partner cross-functionally to drive alignment, manage dependencies, and unblock execution
- Analyze program and operational data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports to support leadership and stakeholder decision-making
- Define, standardize, and operationalize KPIs and success metrics, improving clarity and consistency
- Support ad-hoc data requests and synthesize findings into clear insights and recommendations
- Strengthen research tracking systems by improving metadata quality, reporting, and visibility across the research portfolio
- Support vendor usage and spend tracking, enabling better forecasting, planning, and optimization
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, or business operations in cross-functional environments
- 3+ years of experience in analytics- or metrics-focused roles (program analytics, business operations, data analysis, or similar)
- Proven experience building dashboards, reports, and metrics frameworks for stakeholders and leadership
- Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured plans and measurable outcomes
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- High level of comfort operating independently in fast-paced environments
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical, quantitative, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting research, research operations, product insights, or user research teams
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, synthesis, documentation, or workflow efficiency
- Strong judgment around data quality, privacy, and responsible AI usage

Schedule
12-month contract with potential for extension.
Location
Remote within the United States (California preferred). Time zone alignment with Pacific Time is a plus.
