About the role
The Mack-Blackwell Transportation Center is an externally-funded research and education consortium housed within the Department of Industrial Engineering. The Center comprises multiple sponsored programs including the Maritime Transportation Research and Education Center and AR-STRIDES. Reporting to the Center Director, the Program Manager initiates, leads, and monitors programs for the Center.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Center’s programmatic point of contact
- Stand up new programs and oversee and support ongoing programs
- Monitor program success through data-driven performance measurement
- Lead program event planning
- Support program communications
- Work with the Center Director to ensure strategic direction and planning leads to sustainable programs
- Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance
- Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of program management experience
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of program management experience
- Minimum three years of relevant sponsored program experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of U of A financial and grant software/computer systems
- Administrative experience within a research center or academic unit
