Summary
Function as Program Coordinator within the Center for Advancing Population Science. Duties include support to research units, community and student engagement, data support, and administrative tasks.
About the Role
The Program Coordinator supports one or multiple research units within a center research program. Responsibilities include community engagement, student engagement, data support, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Community Engagement:
- Serve as a liaison between program staff and the community.
- Schedule events and gather input/feedback on program activities.
- Plan and conduct community events at community sites.
- Compile and distribute educational and program materials.
- Support outreach and community education.
- Student Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for students and participants.
- Develop, implement, and maintain educational materials and program components.
- Coordinate educational seminars, trainings, and events.
- Track participation and evaluate program activities.
- Data Support:
- Work with faculty and team members to develop and maintain standard procedures for data-related activities.
- Review and organize documents to ensure proper data handling and adherence to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
- Track and monitor data-related projects and activities.
- Prepare written and PowerPoint summaries of project status, key findings, team activities, and survey or feedback results.
- Administrative:
- Serve as a key point of contact for partner organizations and communities.
- Organize and prepare status reports, project reports, and related documentation.
- Develop action plans and organize health education materials.
- Communicate effectively with community members, faculty, study staff, and administrative teams.
Qualifications
- Appropriate experience may substitute for education on an equivalent basis.
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum Required Experience: 2 years.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of moderate weight materials.
- Standing or walking continuously.
Work Environment
- Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids.
- Work performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
- Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication.
- May occasionally require distinguishing colors and perceiving relative distances between objects.
