Duties & Responsibilities
- Cook up day-to-day research program activities, timelines, deliverables, and communication across multiple research programs and projects.
- Support program leadership by monitoring research program progress and activities and assisting in addressing routine project-related issues to maintain compliance with university and sponsor expectations.
- Serve as a contact for faculty/researchers, ADOT project staff, and university partners to exchange information, maintain documentation, and ensure smooth project workflows.
- Compile and analyze data related to program administration, draft administrative and technical materials, and assist with developing research protocols or documentation as needed.
- Absorb responsibility for planning, organizing, and executing research programs and events such as the annual Arizona Research Summit, an annual research summit and Research Advisory Committee (RAC) meetings to share findings and set agendas, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and program outreach activities.
- Prepare outreach, marketing, and communication materials (e.g., brochures, web content, social media posts) in collaboration with internal communications staff and IT/Database support.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external contacts, support promotion of AZTI initiatives, and respond to information requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Help maintain a consistent and effective communication presence across multiple platforms to promote AZTI programs and research activities.
- Contribute to improving program processes, operational workflows, documentation standards, and overall quality of project and outreach operations.
- Aid in developing and updating internal procedures, organizational materials, or program resources to support continuous improvement.
- Assist in mentoring student workers or support staff by sharing knowledge, tools, and best practices.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent grammar, detail orientation, and ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and stakeholders across institutions.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in design tools such as Canva, MailChimp, and similar tools.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and summarize information and contribute to technical and administrative reports.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to adapt to evolving program needs and contribute to continuous operational improvement.
- Skilled in proactive problem-solving with high attention to detail.
- Ability to be professional, discreet, and effective at building relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning obtained through professional level experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including experience in project coordination, research program support, outreach, event planning, or similar administrative functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project coordination and Management.
- Experience organizing events or multi-stakeholder meetings.
