About the role

The Markey Cancer Center is currently hiring a Research Coordinator (Survivorship Research Program Manager) to support a new research initiative. This position will provide essential administrative, research, and technical support to Initiative leadership to advance survivorship research at Markey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research proposal development support
  • Communicate with and build partnerships with varied stakeholders including investigators, clinicians, community partners, and other units on campus
  • Plan and coordinate events and programs such as speaker series, research events, and other initiatives led by the Initiative
  • Support human subjects and clinical trial documentation for research proposals and regulatory submissions

Requirements

  • Experience supporting or conducting human subjects research with cancer patients or other chronic or serious illness populations
  • Knowledge of clinical trial requirements
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Maturity, customer service, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines, and good judgment
  • Strong skills in MS software, remote meeting platforms, and online survey platforms (REDCap or Qualtrics)

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 3 years experience supporting human subjects research studies, with preference for clinically-focused research support
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, attend to firm deadlines, and work with partners from a variety of disciplines

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Document and file management systems (e.g. SharePoint, One Drive, Microsoft Teams file repositories)
  • Project management/workflow tools for tracking tasks, timelines, and program plans
  • Virtual meeting platforms
  • Online survey administration systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication

Pay

$19.56-31.29/hour

Schedule

8am-5pm Monday-Friday
