Job Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and oversight of research and administrative operations for research projects in such areas as Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive neuropsychology of aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Responsible for processing NIMH, NIH and foundation grant submissions, with responsibility for the federal grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budgeting, and regulatory compliance with NIH and national agencies.
- Cookplicate complex, multi-site clinical studies and projects involving PET and MR imaging, overseeing recruitment, data acquisition, and site performance.
- Maintain laboratory operations efficiency, including coordinating a diverse team of postdoctoral associates and research staff.
- Train and supervise staff and conduct performance reviews.
- Develop relationships in underserved communities with hospitals, community-based clinics and primary care offices, and other community-based organizations and groups to support the goals of the research projects.
- Collaborate in drafting research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at seminars/conferences.
- Collaborate on manuscript preparation and grant application process.
- Prepare and conduct presentations to community groups, social service agencies, health care centers and hospitals as needed.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Neuroscience, Biostatistics, Health Sciences or related field,
- Four (4) years of research, research data administration, clinical research coordination or related experience:
- working on large-scale human subject research studies in Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegenerative diseases or related experience including;
- performing clinical and demographic data management; providing operational and technical support for grant-funded projects, conducting quality control and assurance processes to verify data accuracy, integrity, and adherence to research standards and ensuring participant safety;
- supervising and training staff;
- using advanced computational methods and specialized software including MATLAB, Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM), Python, and bash scripting.
